Biography

I am a Professor at the School of Computer Science & Engineering (SoCSE), Kerala University of Digital Sciences, Innovation and Technology (KUDSIT), formerly IIITM-K, Trivandrum, India. My research focuses on advancing computer security and smart systems, particularly in IoT, Drones, Post-Quantum Security, AgriTech, FinTech and Cognitive Surveillance. I coordinate the Connected Systems and Intelligence (CSI) Lab at KUDSIT, where we lead funded research projects addressing these critical areas. I have supervised nine Ph.D. scholars and currently mentor six more.

With a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, I have authored and edited several publications, including books, book chapters, journal articles, and conference proceedings. I have edited over 45+ conference proceedings published by Springer and others by IEEE, ACM, and Elsevier. Additionally, I serve as a Guest Editor for journal special issues and as a program committee member for numerous international conferences and workshops, where I have also co-chaired several sessions. My involvement includes initiating and organizing annual conferences and symposiums.

In editorial roles, I serve as an Editor for Elsevier's Journal of Network and Computer Applications (JNCA), the Journal of Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, and the International Journal of Embedded Systems by Inderscience, UK. I am also an Associate Editor for Connection Science (Taylor & Francis) and IEEE Access, and a reviewer for several leading international journals. Furthermore, I serve on the Editorial Board for the Springer book series in Applied Machine Learning.

I am a Senior Member of IEEE and ACM and the founding Chair of the ACM Trivandrum Professional Chapter. Additionally, I am the Founding Director of Quantumweave Intelligence Private Limited, a DeepTech startup specializing in AI, IoT, and cybersecurity solutions that address critical challenges across industries such as smart surveillance, quantum-secure communications, FinTech security, and precision agriculture.
