Biography

I am a Professor at the School of Computer Science & Engineering (SoCSE), Kerala University of Digital Sciences, Innovation and Technology (KUDSIT), formerly IIITM-K, Trivandrum, India. My research focuses on various aspects of computer security and smart systems, particularly in the domains of the Internet of Things (IoT), Cognitive Security, Endpoint Security, Cognitive Surveillance, and Smart Cyber-Physical Systems. I am also coordinating the Connected Systems and Intelligence (CSI) Lab at KUDSIT. My academic background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka. I have been actively involved in funded research projects and published articles in book chapters, journals, and conference proceedings. I have authored and edited a few books, as well as edited 45+ conference proceedings published by Springer in various series, as well as a few others published by IEEE, ACM, and Elsevier. I have served as Guest Editor for special issues in a few journals and program committee member for many international conferences and workshops. I have co-chaired several international workshops and conferences. I have initiated and am also involved in the organization of several annual conferences/symposiums. Currently, I hold editorial positions, serving as an Editor for the Elsevier Journal of Network and Computer Applications (JNCA), the Elsevier Journal of Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence and the International Journal of Embedded Systems by Inderscience, UK. I'm also an Associate Editor for Connection Science - Taylor & Francis (2023) and IEEE Access. I review submissions for several reputed international journals and serve on the Editorial Board of the Springer book series in Applied Machine Learning. Additionally, I am a Senior Member of IEEE and ACM and the founding Chair of the ACM Trivandrum Professional Chapter. Concurrently, I serve as the Director of Quantumweave Intelligence Private Limited, specializing in IoT Security, Smart Surveillance, and UAV/Automotive Security.
